Anyone know how to test old computer network cards?

We had an incident in our building where the following happened.

I was called out of the building
While gone peoplecame in who disconnected my old DOS 6.22 Lantastic
network we use for alarm Monitoring

When I returned I plugs all units back together and although the boxes
power up none of the boxes on the network can see each other.

They all boot up but they cannot see each other on the network.
The network software loads up on each box but says it cannot see
the main server.

I have changed the main server card and there is no difference

Any Ideas I am willing to pay for assistance.

Its unlikely, but possible a network card has died, more probably a
cable or plug end has been damaged from rough handling.
