That is disapointing, esp if they want to steal users from outlook.

Ahh I was wondering what you were talking about there, as mine has these
controls, try writing a normal message (not to a newsgroup) you will
find the font and styling controls at the top of the message.

theres a good tool for backing up your Thunderbird/Firefox "Mozbackup"

Stick with it i'm sure you will like it.

OE has Rich Text controls available for news group postings. On a New Post
or a Reply Post, there is a Format option on the Menu Bar. If one selects
the Rich Text optioon from the drop down box, then several formatting
options are available.

Having said that, it is generally poor form to format messages in a Text
Only newsgroup. The other participants would prefer you post in Plain Text,
and most of us select the option to Ignore Sending Format and reply in Plain
Text.

I dropped FireFox and Thunderbird like a hot rock. My brother likes them
both.
