That's dead wrong. You've shown no evidence that the CGA has any measurable
effect on pricing.

I have worked for companies which are the agent/distributor for imported
products. Their margins are most certainly set with the costs of
complying with the CGA in mind.

Exactly how much is the cost of complying witht the CGA? Oh, wait....you
haven't got a clue, because it's a fictional number based on an
unsubstantiated claim. For all you know, the CGA **saves** distributors
money by ensuring that customers are willing to purchase goods of uncertain
quality from vendors. Do they pass that savings on to customers in the form
of lower prices?
