Couple of good case studies here
<http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/09/23/linuxcon_2009_open_source_savings/>,
one big, one small. The small one saves on licensing fees by going Open
Source, the big one doesn't have such a worry about that, but they still
report benefits in common: being able to "do stuff faster" and "keep up with
the big boys ... for basically peanuts"; it's all about agility and
flexibility, being able to turn on a dime and respond instantly when your
business environment changes, instead of having to turn around a lumbering
proprietary-licensed supertanker.
