Perhaps you missed where I said I was using UBUNTU netbook remix.

Return the whole machine because of dodgy software?

Gosh, I thought there were knowledgeable people here.

And my netbook runs happily without Windows.
But all analogies fall down eventually.

Not for me, but seems to be for the people who have answered.

I mean, all I've asked is how to go about getting the refund, and look
at the way I've been treated.

Sounds like you got Windows for free if you couldn't get it any
cheaper without Windows on.

Given it was free, you can't complain now can you?

Alan.

similar command will work on Windows:

move d:\nano\openvpn.txt c:\openVPN\openVPN.conf

Cheers

It's a bit late, but thanks.
Could you tell me why, once I had cocked it up, I couldn't undo my
mistake, or overwrite that file with any others?

Also, I do wish you had been on #windows, irc.freenode.org, because when
I asked for help with the problem, I was accused of being a troll, not
unlike this threads devolution.

It was a package and like any other package the option to return the parts
you don't like is likely to be non existent.
If you didn't want Windows or some other part of the package don't buy a
package buy the computer only.
If this can't be done then unfortunately a market for such a option is
obviously not large enough for anyone to support so you'll need to
compromise.

Thats the trouble with linux, you have to break a perfectly functional
Windows computer to use it !

Yet you still bought it with Windows despite Acer Aspire One netbooks
being available with Linux. Once again you prove yourself to be a
****wit and a troll. Welcome to the CB in nz.comp too.

Free indeed - the cheapest Acer Aspire One on pricespy with Linux is the
same price as the cheapest with Windows.
