I have a Sony DVD PLayer that will not power up; I've tried both the remote and the unit power butoons and still nothing! The unit comes on and then immediately shuts down. I aso have a dics stuck inside and it is a "rental" from Netflix - any help, or suggestions on how I can remove this disc?

Yes, unscrew the the dvd player and remove the different cover to have access inside the player. There is a physical lock you can bend easily whit screw driver and get the optical drive open whit no damage.
