Once again the sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona (Phoenix) has
stepped on some serious toes. During a weekend crime busting spree, sheriff Joe and his men apprehended a number of bad guys, including a number of illegal immigrants. Federal agents belonging to ICE get in the picture. They say that Joe has to release a number of these agents. Why? Because in an agreement with the DoHS, it ain't Joe's territory. Event though the illegals were busted under state charges. Two were caught on a routine traffic stop and had to be released. Good old Nappy says the agents had no such authority, but Joe had his deputies tape the conversation to prove the agents pulled authority over the illegals. Is it, or is it not a crime to be in the USA without proper credentials? Only ICE can arrest and charge illegal aliens with ANY crime? Ok fine, give them a cruiser with lights and sirens and give them authority to make traffic stops. But what I'd like to know is, since it wasn't stated in the story, did ICE agents arrest and deport these illegal aliens or did ICE just toss them back onto the streets? The next time Sheriff Joe makes a bust of illegal aliens, he should just tell ICE to get the **** out of his office and they can have the shitheads after they've served time in prison. Or, be charged with obstruction of justice. richard |
