According to http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon92...200/specs.html,
your card can only output a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 in DVI mode.

With regards to the performance issue, check in Task Manager for processes
using excessive CPU. If not, uninstall and install the video card driver
that came in the CD bundled with the video card.
