cgi script not running

i want run python cgi script(hello.py) when i type in URl htttp://localhost/cgi-bin/hello.py" .i save hello.py in location /var/www/cgi-bin/ but i get error " You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server.".i use fedora10
