cannot find media driver HELP!!! plz
HP DV2000 laptop. Vista Home Premium. sound works. mic works. Problem: No stereo Mix or wave out option under Recording devices. Downloaded drivers from hp but any sound card driver reports same error: "Cannot Find Media Driver". I need the stereo or wave recording device to play music in chatroom. Also deleted all drivers in device manager sound and reinstalled. Same result. i can hear speakers working and use mic only. all help appreciated in resolving "Cannot Find Media Driver". No Stereo Mix device or Wave Out device listed in Recording devices.
