Sorry. The card is a Aterm WL54AG which uses the Atheros chipset. Richy |

That pcmcia card uses extremely common atheros chipset and drivers -- eg it is easily accepted by various linux atheros drivers. <snip> NEC Aterm WL54AG (PA-WL/54AG) Warpstar Triple Wireless LAN Card. - Supports 802.11/a/b/g </snip> <snip1>The PA-WL/54AG is also known as WarpStar ... Main Chipset: ATHEROS AR5213 (MAC), AR5112 (PHY) </snip1> pic https://shop.meconet.de/abilder/110447-1.jpg IMO it is 'stupid' to try to find a pcmcia2usb adapter for that card, when there are so many different usb 802.11 a/b/g devices which can be used in the netbook. They are less expensive, you can get them with the atheros chipset or some other and you will have better options about whether you want a 'modest'/ simple/ slick/ dongle sticking out of your netbook, or if you want a very elaborate dongle so that you can have a monster external antenna to pick up wifi with much greater connectivity rates from much further/ weaker signals. -- Mike Easter Mike Easter |

So why not look for a netbook that has an Atheros wifi chipset built in? -- -- ^^^^^^^^^^ -- Whiskers -- ~~~~~~~~~~ Whiskers |
