Sorry.

The card is a Aterm WL54AG which uses the Atheros chipset.

That pcmcia card uses extremely common atheros chipset and drivers -- eg
it is easily accepted by various linux atheros drivers.

IMO it is 'stupid' to try to find a pcmcia2usb adapter for that card, when
there are so many different usb 802.11 a/b/g devices which can be used in
the netbook. They are less expensive, you can get them with the atheros
chipset or some other and you will have better options about whether you
want a 'modest'/ simple/ slick/ dongle sticking out of your netbook, or if
you want a very elaborate dongle so that you can have a monster external
antenna to pick up wifi with much greater connectivity rates from much
further/ weaker signals.

So why not look for a netbook that has an Atheros wifi chipset built in?

Question
I want to buy a netbook but I need a PCMCIA card slot to have another ethernet interface, any suggestions??
