Hello,

I'm currently working in the US and am thinking of relocating to New
Zealand. Can anyone tell me what the job outlook is like for C# ? In
addition, what are the work hours like in the IT Industry in New
Zealand? Is it possible to keep a 40-hour workweek?

Thanks

Some IT skills are in very high demand still. In saying that your NZ
salary will be less than the US, however your expenses will also be a
lot less, you should be net better off......If you come here get at
least a 2 year permit so our health system covers you, otherwise you
will need your own. It is likely you will ony be able to get work in
the three main centres, Wellington, Auckland or
Christchurch....however its expected that we will start to suffer soon
from the recession as the Govn cans work....

www.seek.co.nz and www.trademe.co.nz are two good places to look for
work.

Yes....but some employers will ask a lot more, usually the US owned
ones, so avoid the outsourcers...

regards

thing
