Read a file and store bits into an array

Hey this is my first post here becuase scouring the web for help i cam to this place the most.

Anyways, im looking to read a file (anything) and extract the binary bits from it and store them in order into an array.

Then compare them to a seperate array.

The trouble im having is reading a file into binary form and storing each bit into an array.
