Default Wireless Zero Configuration not available

I just upgraded from a Linksys wireless B to wireless G adapter. I was able
to access the internet using the Wireless B but I had to call them for help
because I could not get the Wireless G configured. Their response to me was
that I needed to reinstall Windows XP to get to Wireless Zero Configuration
because it is not available in my list of services. That seems a bit
drastic. Does anyone know how to get this service? I believe it was
originally available when I got the computer last month, but somewhere in the
process of installing different brands of adapters (Netgear and Linksys) and
numerous other updates it disappeared and now I get the message that Windows
cannot configure this Wireless connection. I tried a system recovery back to
before either adapter was installed (I think) but that didn't work. Any
ideas???

Default Re: Wireless Zero Configuration not available
Open services and scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration Service,
Start the service and set it to automatic. If it does not show in the
list of Services:

run regedit and find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Curr*entControlSet\Servi ces\WZCSVC

add a DWORD entry named "Start" and
value "2"
