I just upgraded from a Linksys wireless B to wireless G adapter. I was able
to access the internet using the Wireless B but I had to call them for help because I could not get the Wireless G configured. Their response to me was that I needed to reinstall Windows XP to get to Wireless Zero Configuration because it is not available in my list of services. That seems a bit drastic. Does anyone know how to get this service? I believe it was originally available when I got the computer last month, but somewhere in the process of installing different brands of adapters (Netgear and Linksys) and numerous other updates it disappeared and now I get the message that Windows cannot configure this Wireless connection. I tried a system recovery back to before either adapter was installed (I think) but that didn't work. Any ideas??? =?Utf-8?B?c3RyOHRyaW5p?= |

Open services and scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration Service,
Start the service and set it to automatic. If it does not show in the list of Services: run regedit and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Curr*entControlSet\Servi ces\WZCSVC add a DWORD entry named "Start" and value "2" On Sun, 19 Jun 2005 23:52:02 -0700, str8trini <> wrote: >I just upgraded from a Linksys wireless B to wireless G adapter.
