LINE to STD_LOGIC_VECTOR()?? and to_ASCII??

Hii friends,
can any one help me by "code",
to convert data present in LINE data type to STD_LOGIC_VECTOR() type.
Actually the data is read from a text file and this data
also has to be converted to ASCII digits before storing it in std_logic_vector type..
