I have just passed my first Microsoft Certification which is 070-536. Now I
am looking forward on achieving MCTS. Which do you think is in demand in our
industry or the best one: MCTS: Web Apps or MCTS: Windows Apps? Thanks in
advance for comments and suggestions!

Hi
I completed my MCTS in Web Development 3 months ago. I am working as an IT
contractor and can say that in the UK demand for web apps far exceeds demand
for windows apps IMO.
Hope this helps and good luck with the exam.

Hi Ritesh Mehta

It does say that you will earn credit to
•Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Web
Applications
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Windows
Applications
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Distributed
Applications

because in order to get that MCTS, you need to pass 2 exams. One is 70-536,
and the other one is 70-528 or 70-526 or 70-529, depending on which one is
you preffered. Passing only 70-536 will not earn you to become certified in
the bulleted mentioned above. You need to pass two exams.

One thing, reviewing only 70-536 doesn't mean that you can take 70-528 or
70-526 or 70-529 because 70-536 will only cover general overview of .NET 2.0
Framework and WILL NOT COVER 70-528 or 70-526 or 70-529. But is really
related to them but as much as possible, you have some resources for the
other certifications. You still need to purchase or review some books related
to your planned certification tracks.

Hope that answers. Regards.
