IPv6 issues

Are any NZ ISPs planning to offer IPv6? I'm assuming none of them do as yet.

Has anyone put together a plan for this? Each customer will need to be
assigned an IPv6 subnet that they can use for machines/devices on their LAN.
Since there is no NAT for IPv6, there will need to be a firewall policy in
place from the beginning, to decide which nodes can a) make outbound
connections to the Internet, and b) be visible to accept inbound connections
from the Internet. The default, of course, should be no access either way.

What about customers who already have IPv6 address ranges assigned? The ISPs
will need to accept those into their Internet-visible routing tables.

What about those who've been using ULA subnets
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unique_local_address>? Will they be allowed to
make those addresses visible on the Internet?

I've got an IPV6 around somewhere. Must check it out sometime.

Cheers,

The Internet is interesting in that although the nicknames may change,
the same old personalities show through.
