Tested under VMWare Workstation 6.5.0 and 6.5.1

Any tricks to make VMWare's "unity" mode function a little faster?

Vista Business SP1 x64 host, a mixture of XP and Vista guests (all
latest service pack, latest VMWare tools, x86)

In all cases the VM's performance is great when not in unity mode, but
in unity mode it's painfully slow, even just editing text in Notepad is
painful due to the latency.
