There is of course the remotest possibility Citi Bank have engineered that
method to limit contact made by new and existing customers as a deterant
thereby 'reducing costs'. That, given the vast majority of their potential
new customer base have less than nothing by way of disposable income left,
their view is probably one of 'we have a 'window' to set things straight,
internally, let's focus on that and **** the rest of them for now'.
It's often so much easier to recover from a shite situation than it is to
'improve' on well established and better times.
