I have Windows Vista Home Premium ( only repair disc provided when
laptop purchased )
I understand that this edition does not have the tool to make a
complete backup ( image ) of my C:/ drive . I have downloaded files to
make a recovery disk and am now able to boot into the recovery
environment of vista including the *repair* option in which you can
locate an image on a usb drive etc.
I suspect that you have to use the vista embeded application for this
image to be read ?
My question is :-
What type of image file is it and as I am able to use RE on boot up
disc to access external bu drive what image file will I need to burn
for system to recognise

Thanks for any help
