Question for you all...how many logon attempts can you make in Win XP
before you're locked out? Say the system is stand-alone, no domains.
My experiments say there is no limit at all, I can keep trying until I
get sick of trying. But a month or so ago I saw something that claimed
the answer was between two and six.

BTW, Windows XP Help is useful on this query, but I'm just wondering
if Help might be wrong.

I am not aware of any limit on login attemps for XP when it is a
standalone computer.

The thing I saw has something to do with the title of this
newsgroup.
