All,

I'm looking for advice on whether the sources of study material that I'm
currently using for A+ certification is good or outdated. I prefer not to
purchase any additional material if at all possible. My study material is
listed below. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I'm currently using:

1. Sybex A+ Complete Study Guide Deluxe Edition (Second Edition).
2. Protech Group Cbts Software v.2.9.

Please post to the newsgroup.

Go to the nearest library and check out Mike Meyer's "All-in-One A+
Study Guide" (5th edition). If the library doesn't carry it, you can
find it in most major bookstores that will let you read it in the store
(such as Barnes & Noble or Borders). You shouldn't have to buy it.

You should also go to http://www.totalsem.com/, where you can purchase
vouchers to use for the exams, that come with up-to-date practice exam
questions. I recommend the Premium Edition for $198.99, because it has
1100 questions, and two vouchers... you can download the questions, and
they will email (in addition to snail mail) the voucher numbers.

I always eat an entire 14 oz. box of Hostess chocolate frosted donettes
before any major test that I might be nervous about...

Well I can tell you the one mistake I made was studying too much, I read
through the exam cram stuff and knew most of it pretty well. I wrote the
test, and was mad that I spend so much time studying as the test was so
easy!!
good luck
