Has anyone had any experience with Robert Half Technology? They have a ton
of ads out for good paying stuff on the job boards, but is it one of those
deals where they say that to get you in the door and then pay peanuts? I
have an interview with one of their recruiting managers in two weeks and
just want to know if I'm wasting my time with them.

Thanks

Brian M.

IMHO...recruiters are a waste of time these days. They're just collecting
resumes'.
I'd still go to the interview however. You never know, maybe you'll get
lucky.

Thanks your your input Barry. I get the feeling that the only way to get in
to a job that pays more than $10 an hour anymore is to use one of these
agencies that pre-screen candidates. I just don't like being pimped so I'm a
bit reluctant.

Most of the people that come in here would be happy to make $14 an
hour...
$5 to park.. sheesh... I suppose you had to by your own lunch too...
Robert Half is a temp firm, that as far as temp firms go is pretty good.
They generally have contracts with the bigger Corporations, which you would
have a snowballs chance in hell of getting into if you didn't work as a temp
first..
What I keep seeing in this NG are a bunch of people with no experience
wanting to get
some cream puff job because you passed a test...
I doesn't work like that.. anywhere... pay some dues...suck it up.. get
recognized...
RHI does have a good track record of temp hires getting permanent positions,
usually with competitive salary...

They "collect" to justify what they do and to sell their services. I went on
an interview to a staffing firm this summer.
As it turned out, all they were interested in was selling services to my
contacts. My contacts told me this themselves.
When I asked the recruiter the following day what the status of the
opportunity was, I was told "there is no
opportunity".

That's true. Robert Half is a reputable temp firm and I went through them
in Richardson, TX. I wanted a job and got one after a couple weeks of
interviewing with them.

If being a whore is the only game in town, you got to just bend over and
take it...
