Why would Device Manager and System Information (winmsd) show conflicting
Total Physical Memory installed information? I have 2 256 MB DIMMs for a total of 512 MB. Device Manager shows 512 MB. System Information shows only 384MB of Total Physical Memory. The POST memory check seems to check all 512MB ok. I notice that 384 is 126 MB less than 512 MB, or half of one DIMM. This is with Windows XP Professional. Thanks for any help. P. Qwan |
