Hi
Just working through the All In One 5th edition A+ at the moment, and the time to think about taking my test is looming! I have one problem, however, which is that I've read a couple of messages here indicating you need a photograph carrying ID of some sort? I don't have a passport or driving liscence, but I think I may be able to manage some form of photo ID if it is necessary. So, can anyone who has taken their test in the UK tell me if it's standard practice to ask for a piece of photo ID please? Bloke_in_a_box |

Got the other half to do some telephone wrangling today and found out there
is a fairly easy to obtain form or photo ID! It's called the Citizen Card , and according to the blurb on their website it's accepted by airlines, retail and the government. I should imagine that would be sufficient for them. To obtain a card you need someone 'respectable' to confirm your D.O.B , like your doctor or you could try a local bobby. Their site is http://www.citizencard.com/ , hope this helps the card costs about £7. You can find your local TC on the VUE & Prometric websites. Personally, I wouldn't *imagine* anything, I'd check the facts with the actual person who'll be checking your ID. You don't want to risk losing your cash, do you? JM Jonathan Miles |
