It's probably moved the file to the valut, rather than deleting it. Have you thought to look in the valut? After all, it's right there on the Program menu. Gordon Findlay |

Kathy,
The virus vault has a help file which gives this description : The AVG Virus Vault When AVG detects a virus that cannot be removed by healing, it uses a special way of deleting the infected file - AVG moves it to the AVG Virus Vault. What is the AVG Virus Vault? The AVG Virus Vault is a special directory that stores infected files. The name of the files are changed and their content is encrypted so they cannot be used and virus infection cannot spread. It is almost the same as ordinary deleting techniques; however, the AVG Virus Vault gives you the ability to restore the files, if necessary. Hope this helps, JM -- JonathanMiles at uk2 dot net "Gordon Findlay" <> wrote in message news:... > On Thu, 5 Feb 2004 17:07:24 -0500, "Kathy" <> wrote: > > >I finally got around to updating my AV program today and it detected a > >virus...
