I read before but forgot how to fix this but my friends win98 machine shut
down itself the other day. What can cause this?

Of the top of my head I was thinking, power supply is weak or bad RAM?

P/S is one - Crook H/D is another and overheating is another.

check fans pentium cpu will shut down your computer rather then overheat
