i had wanted to skip the whole MCSA 2003 and wait for longhorn certs, but now
i here everything is changing... so now (rethinking) i was going to take
70-270, 290, 291, and 284. Does anyone think i might me too late? Anyone
know when MS is going to expire these exams?

thanks in advance

Go for it!! You can spend a lifetime waiting for future events and have no
certifications.

Its not too late. I just passed my 70-270 for my mcp and am now heading for
my mcsa, to follow that with an mcse.

It's not too late to get your MCSA 2003
(http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc.../default.mspx), infact
you can still get your MCSA 2000:

As for when MS will retire exams, see here:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc...s/retired.mspx

Currently there are no exams scheduled for Discontinuation (15th Jan 2007).
