Knowing the material is very important, I have found.
I recommend reading the objectives listed here:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-290.asp
I can also vouch for MeasureUp. It gives you a good idea of your knowledge
level, and it is approved by Microsoft as legitimate test preparation
material.

Hi Ishola,

I find that the best strategy for passing the 70-290 exam is to get a
majority of the questions right.

Good luck!

@ Montreal MCT

LOL, that's a good one!

But seriously. Get the MS Press book and work through it. Pay attention to
the "Exam Tips" in the book.
Get a small test enviroment, preferably one or two PC's with VMWare or
Micorsoft Virtual Server running so you can a couple of virtual computers and
go through all the practices in the book.
If in doubt when reading the book, do consult the help function within
Windows Server 2003, it gives you a pretty good view on what Microsoft
considers "best practice" in dealing with Win Server 2K3.
General advice:

Do not learn more than 45 mins in one sitting. Get up, do something else,
set your brain on something different for a while. Then return to the
material later. Dont learn one full day before the test or at least don't
anything new, since your brain won't really get much more info that shortly
before the test.

And good luck!

Microsoft does not specifically mention Transcender as an "approved" but
they are generally considered legitimate.

I like MeasureUp because they are cheaper, but if I had a dumptruck full of
cash, I'd probably give Transcenders a shot.
