Question Biggest Wireless Challenge I have EVER encountered

Hi guys!

I was wondering if you can help me out. I have an office in my basement which is hard wired to a router. I also have 3 laptops and a Cisco signal distributor in the attic. In the basement I have signal and everything works fine. Once I go up the stairs to the first floor the laptop is telling me I have limited connectivity and that 169... ip comes up. It cant be the wep key because it would not work in the basement then. I have no Idea what it can be... it worked fine yesturday?/ Please help me out. Thanks Raf
