Why am I suddenly getting spam sent by me? When I click on it sure
enough, it is sent from my email address. I would like to end this
immediately, and if I can't I want to cancel my gmail account. How
would I do that?

Almost all spam has bogus information in the From, which bogosity can be
your address or other 'innocent bystanders'. You didn't know that spam
From was bogus?

The type of 'clicking' you should do with spam in your gmail inbox is to
indicate to gmail that it is spam.

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...02&topic=13280 The
more spam you mark, the better our system will get at weeding out those
annoying messages.

You don't have any control over what kind of bogosity a spammer may use or
whether you are sent spam. The only control in the case of a gmail
account is that gmail does a pretty good job of recognizing spam and
goodmail to put the spam in the spam folder and the goodmail in the inbox.

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...en&answer=8152 Canceling
