does anyone have a definition of what 'verbose mode' is
when converting a FAT partition to NTFS? Is it neccesary
to use the /v switch? thanks

The verbose mode is used to display additionnal
information during the convertion process.

the 'verbose' switch is available in different commands,
and is also used in differents operating systems (unix-
based)
