Just wondered how many of you use the full time available for exams? I
sometimes finish a little early but always seem to use up all time available
in order to check and double-check answers. Any thoughts/comments?

I have only ever taken the full time for one of the MCSE exams and I failed
it

Now a days I go with my gut feeling and I never double check my answers
(only single check them) as if I double (or more) check them I then tend to
second guess my self.

The only double checking I do, is to ensure that I completely answered
everything. Like on the questions that want 2 or 3 correct answers. I make
sure that I have them all answered.

I tend to second guess myself and get the wrong answers if I change them.
It's like on the highway when you move to the "fast" lane and it slows down
and the lane I was in speeds up.

There is definitely a technique to using your time. I tend to quickly read
the context and the question and if I don't have a gut feeling straight away
I mark it for review. I sat my 70-270 the other day, having already attained
my MCDST, and marked 13 for review. I figure that time is better spent on
the other questions that I can answer quickly and get them in the bag.

That left a huge chunk of time for working carefully and methodically on the
ones for review.

I passed it by the way.

Good luck with whatever technique you use.
how do other people do it ?

I have never taken more than half the time for an exam... but you should
take as much time as you need to be comfortable that when you press FINISH
you will have passed.
