Hello.
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out. I have two computers a laptop and a desktop that I would like to network together to share files and a printer. Both computers are connected to the internet through a wireless DSL modem router that verizon dsl supplied me with when I signed up with their service. The desktop is NOT connected wireless but the laptop is. I attempted to use the wireless networking wizard but was not able to "see" either computer when I went to the opposite computers network places. I did enable sharing on the printer as well as the folders I would like to share but still have not been able to access them through the opposite computer. Am I missing a piece of equipment? Oddly the other day while using both PCs at the same time my mp3 files showed up in ITunes that were on the other computer. This leads me to believe that somewhere something is configured wrong. Thank you in advance! Jenny P.S. I am running windows XP in both machines. =?Utf-8?B?SkVOTlk=?= |

Hi
If you can use the Internet from both computers, then your problem is the File Sharing settings. File Sharing: http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html If only your wired computer can access the Internet, then might be that your Wireless is not configured correctly. Wireless - Basic Configuration: http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.html Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html If nothing works, then you need to configure the Network settings. Installing Network: http://www.ezlan.net/installing.html Jack (MVP-Networking).
