Hi everyone,
I am thinking of changing career to MCAD, How is the jobamarket out there
for entry level positions in the Northeast? I was a COBOL Programmer about 20
years ago. I love to learn new comouter software. What type of enivornment
can I work with this certification?

Learn first, and then get certified. That's the best way

Environment is MS Windows, using Visual Studio and .NET, of course.
And don't use the MCAD route, rather go for the newer MCPD route.

The jobs are there, but they all want people who are experts, or
people who learn quickly. I was also a COBOL programmer, but the world
is different now. It's hard for us older folks (not old, just older)
to keep up, so we have to study constantly.

Back then you could learn COBOL, then sit back and use basically the
same thing for years. But now everything changes at a fast rate.
Nothing stays the same now!
