Hi all,

The new developer certs are completely language independent; I do not use
VS.net 2K5 yet. Is VB.net and C# the same now?

The base certification is obviously the new Microsoft Certified
Technology Specialist, specializing in a particular area of the .NET
2.0 Framework, not a particular language. I like this personally,
because some projects require Visual Basic .NET for easy of maintenance
for VB6 programmers. However, I agree that C# syntax is much better
most cases.

According on what they said in the webcast, the choice of language will be
made at the moment of taking the exam. So we will be able to choose the
language at the moment that we start the exam

This is true... We call this concept as "Exam Branching"... You will be asked
to choose the code language you prefer in the beginning of the test and then
onwards all the questions will appear in that code launguage...
In many exams C++ will also be an option to select...

Hope you all like that...

That sure is a good idea on there part!
The technology is the same regardless, just different syntax which most of
us can switch back and forth without much problem.

Although I had a hell of a time declaring a Null value in VB becuase in VB
its "Nothing" at least on the object I was dealing with.
