How to check what symbols are defined in a .o files? .a files? and.so files in linux?

Hi,

How to check what symbols are defined in a .o files? .a files? and .so
files in linux? Is there any command to display symbols (e.g. method
names, class names)?

For .o and .a lookup man nm.

For .so lookup man readelf.

objdump can also be used.
