Smile Wireless network connected but no web pages can be displayed

Hello,
I have 2 lap tops. One has wireless working ok but the othe connects as normal but does not display or cannot find any web pages in IE. Eventually just times out. Can any one help ? Ideally in simple terms as I am not to familiar with the jargon.
Thanks in advance,
