Default Can not access console port of Cisco 7200 vxr


Hi All,

I can not access console port of a Cisco 7200 VXR.

It shows the below ouput when it reboots on the hyperterminal window on my pc.

System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r)B, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
TAC Support:
Copyright (c) 2002 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C7200 platform with 262144 Kbytes of main memory

Please help me to resolve this as soon as possible.

When you config your console line passwords, you also have to enable the login in order for your console port to function. Have you configured a password?

Router(config)#line console 0
Router(config-line)#password _____
Router(config-line)#login
Router(config-line)#exit
Router(config)#
