So, would my PhD in Female Executive Secretary Sciences price me out
of the competition?

I believe the advertising would have to exclude the word "female"
before it would be discriminatory.

As years ago a guy applied to a hospital for a job as a nurse. No
gender mentioned in the ad. It has always been tradition that nurses
are women. So he sued the hospital and won. Or he was trying to get
into a nurse's school somewhere.

Although if a guy submits an a resume, the company is under no
obligation to hire the guy either.

If I wanted to hire 5 female musicians, and stated so in the ad, and
50 guys show up, no law says I have to hire the guys.

Nah. First place, women's wages are traditionally discounted because
they're just not as good as men, and who would pay anything for advice
on something called "Female Executive Secretary Sciences", anyway?
