System Restore Help

I use Windows XP and when I try to use system restore I get to the calendar but I can't choose any restore points. I can't change the month or the day. It's stuck on the current date. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it and if I was to vague and you need more information please let me know.
