Yes but this is not by any backdoor method that automatically installs
it.
Like I said "when the new firmware is available you still have to accept
it?". If you don't want it you can cancel it. Simple.

Interestingly, this morning I had a notification, which must
arrived last night, that there was new firmware available. I declined
the offer, and won't do it until I know what is being changed!

Regards,
Harry.

changes have been made, but it all seems to work ok.

Yep just got home and got the new version too on and working too.
My only concern is the wife or kids (of anyone that picked the phone up)
could have accepted the upgrade (the wife had done).
It is only this thread that has made me think about the possibilities of
this going wrong.
Going to turn off the auto notification until Siemens require a password
at the very least to accept the upgrade (only I should be able to say
'yes' to this).

Doh, she said she did not know the PIN so had to cancel it.

Guess I will have to do a manual upgrade.

I want to update it myself before Siemens use the backdoor and do it for
me.
