I am running XP Home on both client and host. Have been sharing wireless
network fine for a couple of years, using Compaq 802.11b adapter on the host
and Linksys 802.11g card on the client. The other day the client couldn't
print and noticed that the workgroup had disappeared. The internet shared
connection [via AnalogX proxy due to ICS going dead a while back] continues
to be okay. I can ping both client and host from each other, neither can see
each other in as an icon and cannot share files, printers etc. Netbios is
enabled on both. I'm baffled after renaming workgroup and rebuilding the
network practically. I've turned off Zone Alarm and ensured that MS firewall
remains off. Grateful for any ideas? Is there anyway of deleting old
settings as I'd like to start fresh and go back to sharing internet via ICS
anyway.
