Hello all. I am currently having this problem with my computer. On my external harddrive some of folders won't open. The majority of them are fine but there are certain ones that it simply won't open when I double click I get nothing when I right click I am given the following options "open, explore, search" I found this problem while trying to clean up my computer some so now I'm curious as to why I can't see what files are in there so I can decide if it's a junk file or not. I have tried doing this method that I found on a different site. I tried using moveonboot. I'm assuming it occured after a nasty run in with a virus. I think it was that antivirus 2008 thing that caused it. I can't remember exactly what it was other than it overtook my computer 3 times now. Took away my desktop background and replaced it with a link to it's website, made my drives invisible. Have yet to figure out how to actually get rid of it. Not the best of ideas but I usually seem to have to restore it back to factory settings. Off topic on that little rant I know
Go to regedit and
go to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\open\command
double click on default and
put this as the value:
%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /idlist,%I,%L
Any ideas?
