Default RE: Can I have a signed assembly in Bin without putting it into GAC or not?

Hi Stan,

Based on the Knowledge Base article, the answer for this issue is:

This feature is unsupported in .NET Framework 1.0. It is by design.

This feature is added in .NET Framework 1.1.

As I understand, what you really want to know is:

If there is a hot fix for this issue in .NET Framework 1.0 and how to get
it.

To get a hot fix, we need to submit a formal service request. Please refer
to the following URL for how to submit a service request.

http://support.microsoft.com/

Since the request for a hot fix is free, I think that the most efficient
resolution for your problem is submitting a formal service request. Thank
you for your understanding.
