I'm considering setting one of these up between my BT line and a voip
provider. Is there a way of logging the clid into a simple contact
manager, preferably something that will run under linux but a simple
windows program will probably be OK.

How verbose is the syslog? Are you suggesting a grep of just the clid
fields and appending these to a file?

If the data is in a syslog then I'll risk the fifty quid.
