convolution process for image processing (using CNN) in VHDL

I had did convolution process for image processing using CNN in MAT Lab. Now i am trying to implement that on FPGA using VHDL. I had some practice in working with FPGA and VHDL. I had designed a calculator using VHDL and FPGA. But i am not able to start writing the code for the above said process and the work that i am trying to do was already implemented on FPGA using Verilog.

I know the process how the system works and the logic. I fpossible please help me in writing the code and if u know any books please suggest.
