Default how do i share folder and internet

Hi

This is driving me crazy, i appeared to have a signal problem but updating
the driver in my laptop (dlink 610 pcmcia) seems to have solved that and now
both machines are connected with a strong signal.

However both pcs are still showing as sending but not receiving packets of
data. They occasionally receive one or two packets but the sent total for
both machines is thousands,

To view folders and use the internet should i just be able to click and open
as normal, i cant see any files in the shared folder, although it is enabled
and set for sharing.

Any advice appreciated

Gary

Default RE: how do i share folder and internet
Make sure that both machines are in the same workgroup, (my computer, right
click, properties, computer name) the workgroup has to be the same. If you
have the folders you want to shared enabled for sharing, try looking at my
network places or workgroup computers. Anything that is shared on the
network will show up there. I assume you are connecting to the internet via
a wireless router?
