Hi Everyone,
I am working on the " IIR filter implementation on FPGA". I have already done it in MATLAB/SIMULINK but now, I am trying to do it in VHDL. I am using:
Xilinx ISE 6. and Modelsim 5.8c. and the target is Spartan-3 xcs200.

I have tried to use the Fixed-point packages but I wasn't really sure how to use them? they're available at VHDL.org website. I have tried to create a new project and then add new source and selecting package and then copied all the code from the website in it but it doesn't seem to work coz it says IEEE_proposed library is not declared.
I have been told that these packages might not work with ISE 6? Has anybody used them before?

Or any other suggestions for this problem? I mean what I am after is just Fixed-point arithematic for my filter coefficients in particular for my target FPGA.

Thanks very much for your help,
Kami
