ABS G3 Power Failure - Troubleshooting

Hello, my g3 ABS notebook has recently died of a power failure. I've tried using only AC, and no response. My guess is that I need to soder something.

I've asked what they'd charge, and its 100+ dollars. Is there a guide I can find for fixing a power failure, and determine whether its my motherboard, or just a re-sodering issue that will resolve my problem. Any leads or information would be helpfull. THank you.
